Polly learned chess at age seven from her grandfather, casual games at home, no openings, no theory. Just the joy of the game and the closeness it created. She grew up with a deep analytical mind, drawn to math, physics, and logic, but it was chess that stuck with her across decades and continents.

After years in modelling and a life spent moving between worlds, Polly rediscovered chess with a new depth. She understood it differently: not as competition, but as a mirror, of character, of thought, of how a person moves through the world. Aggressive or passive. Bold or patient. Chess reveals all of it.

What started as a personal obsession became a mission. In Dubai, where expats often struggle with the awkwardness of meeting strangers, chess became the perfect equaliser. Win Chess Club was born, a weekly breakfast, a warm table, and a board that breaks every social barrier.
